Bonus Blog Hop!

A couple weeks ago I posted about the new scroll stamps that Serendipity had come out with and that there would be a few surprises with them.  Well here it is... matching dies!  How exciting is this.  I'm thrilled that Serendipity Stamps is branching out in new directions.
In honor of these new dies/stamp sets Mary is giving away a set of each.  So join the blog hop, leave a post/comment on as many blogs as you can for a chance to win!
This is the first card I made, using the eggs.  I stamped them then covered them in diamond glaze.  The stamp and the dies are in the front of the picture.

Second I moved onto the hearts.  I used the die to cut the heart on the front, and then put it on top of a clear window.  I used the solid die to cut a background color that I put on the inside of the card... so much fun.

And then I was just playing around...I used the egg dies... sprayed the top with adhesive and sprinkled on glitter.  They are so shiny and fun.  I haven't decided just what to used them for yet, but be on the lookout for it!

Don't forget to hop on to the other designers and see what fantastic things they came up with on these new stamps and dies. And don't forget to leave your comments for a chance to win!

And as always don't forget to check out Serendipity Stamps! Mary runs a great site, has great sales, and links to the gallery and blog.

Happy Easter!

Our challenge this month was to do something with an Easter Theme.  I chose the large Easter Wreath stamp (979K).  It's a beautiful stamp with lots of little intricate parts.  I used water colors to color this time, I've been using them and loving the way the finished project looks.  After coloring and drying I cut out the stamp and decided that it would make the perfect napkin ring.

Here it is below colored and off of the napkin.  I admit I spent more time painting it than cutting it out.  I tend to not be a great fussy cutter, but it went together so quickly you could easily make these up the morning of your Easter dinner.

Grab these Goodies:

So there it is another quick simple project.  It helps that Serendipity creates such wonderful stamps that they don't always nee a lot of extras to make it look great.

Now on to the other wonder designers to see what they have created:

Mary has also released two new stamps that are just amazing.  I used one in an earlier post so be sure to check it out and then head to the site to buy one for yourself.

Isn't that Ood?

Over at craftster, (maybe the greatest craft site evah) I was participating in a Dr. Who swap.  The qualifications for this one were that everything had to fit in a 4x4 inch square.  My partner expressed her love of the Ood.. so I decided to crochet her a little one that could keep her company.  I used a couple of the parts from the book Creepy, Cute Crochet, but then made up the rest on my own, my very first crochet project where I designed parts myself.   So without further ado here he is!

And my partner and I decided to send an extra so I created this Tardis notebook.  I used chipboard and pieced it together, and then painted it.  It came out so well that I need to make one for myself as well.

New Stamp Time

Serendipity Stamps as just created two new stamps.  One is a intricate heart, and the other is an egg, just in time for Easter.  I just got the stamps a couple days ago and decided to play with the egg today.  To me it looks just like stained glass.  So I stamped the image in black and embossed with black embossing powder to give it a shine.  Then I colored in the parts randomly with copics to give the look of stained glass.  Then I mounted it on several layers of label spellbinders.  Added some glitter glue to the black parts, and added some ribbon that is shiny, just like an Easter dress.

These new stamps are amazing, head over to Serendipitystamps.com to check them out and see what other surprises might go along with them.

Happy Wednesday Everyone!
